SIDNEY TURTLBAUM has been nominated for a prestigious British Independent Film Award for Best British Short. The awards ceremony will take place in London on December 6 2009. www.bifa.org.uk/nominations

SIDNEY TURTLEBAUM has won the prestigious 'BEST FOREIGN FILM' at the Los Angeles Shorts Fest. The festival honors individuals who have achieved excellence in short films and is the largest short film festival in the world. As an Oscar-qualifying festival, SIDNEY TURTLEBAUM will now be eligible for Academy Award consideration. Click here for LA Shorts Fest.

SIDNEY TURTLEBAUM has won the prestigious 'SAGIndie Best Short Film Award' at the 'Method Festival' in Los Angeles out of a shortlist of over 65 US and International entries. http://www.methodfest.com/

SIDNEY TURTLEBAUM has been nominated for 'Best UK Short Film' at the 2009 Swansea Bay Film Festival which takes place between May 30 and June 06.

The British Film Institute have acquired Sidney Turtlebaum for their National Film Archive which preserves films for future generations that they feel are of special significance. The National Film Archive is one of the world's greatest collections of film and is the custodian of the UK's moving image heritage.

SIDNEY TURTLBAUM has been selected by the British Council as one of their top British short films of the year. As a selected film, SIDNEY TURTLEBAUM will be promoted to a list of over 60 International festivals that the British Council works with.
